Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to an injury hit-and-run collision that occurred on June 25, 2026, at 1:56 a.m. on westbound State Route 96 near Dumas Road/Elgin Way SE in Puyallup.
The collision involved a silver/grey late 1990s or early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe with an unknown license plate. A pedestrian was walking in the westbound lane when struck by the vehicle, which fled the scene. The vehicle continued westbound on SR 96 over Interstate 5 into Everett. Witnesses described the driver as a white male in his 40s or 50s with a younger female passenger. Camera footage shows the vehicle is missing its passenger side marker light.
