The Humann Fire in Yakima County near Selah burned 150 acres, threatening homes and triggering Level 3 evacuations. The Lyle Hill 2 Fire in Klickitat County near Lyle covered 1,500 acres, threatening homes and power infrastructure with Level 2 and 3 evacuations. The Hamilton Fire in Okanogan County near Winthrop started early June 28 and was under investigation.
State Fire Protection Bureau mobilized strike teams and hand crews for all three fires. The State Emergency Operations Center activated to Level 2 for coordination. Fire causes remain under investigation. No Puyallup-specific impacts were reported in the public record.
