SR 507 roundabout work, I-405 closures planned

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

WSDOT is implementing multiple road closures this week affecting Puyallup residents. A roundabout project on SR 507 at 208th Street South near Spanaway will cause one-way alternating traffic around the clock from September 8 to 14. On I-405, northbound lanes will close overnight from September 10 to 11 between SR 167 and Sunset Boulevard. The northbound SR 167 on-ramp to southbound I-405 and the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Rainier Avenue South will also close overnight on September 10-11.

State Route 410 will have alternating traffic with flaggers daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from September 9 until further notice between Scatter Creek Bridge and Twin Creek Bridge. SR 515 will have its right lane closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. except weekends until September 18. The sidewalk will also close during these times. Other closures include a lane closure on I-5 and SR 599.

Residents should expect delays during morning and evening commutes. WSDOT recommends travelers plan extra travel time and check for detours. The closures are part of ongoing infrastructure work to improve road safety and utility systems in the region.
