Puyallup Residents See Sidewalk, Dock, and Cleanup Projects

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Pierce County has issued environmental reviews for several projects impacting Puyallup. The largest project involves new sidewalks and lighting on 159th Street East between SR-7 and 3rd Avenue Court East. The project will also extend a two-way left-turn lane. Comments are due by September 22.

The Puyallup Tribe of Indians is seeking approval to replace a dock on Benbow Lake. A separate project at 615 and 621 14th Street SE involves excavation of 687 cubic yards of petroleum-contaminated soil. The owner, John Kim, plans to backfill and restore the area after disposal.

Pierce County will review public comments before making final decisions on these projects. Residents can submit feedback on the sidewalk project by September 22 and on the dock replacement by the same date.
