The City of Puyallup issued environmental determinations this week for two separate projects: a new off-street parking lot on Inter Ave and a water pipeline and pump station replacement near 15th Avenue SW.
The parking project, filed under SEPA #202601424, calls for a 62-stall lot at 2401 Inter Ave, including dedicated semitruck parking. Applicant Jason Sea submitted the proposal on behalf of EJ Poultry and Red Dot Corporation. About half the stalls are intended to serve Red Dot Corporation, located directly north of the site. The project includes paving, striping, landscaping, lighting, and stormwater improvements. No new buildings are planned.
The second project, SEPA #202601417, involves replacing aging water distribution pipelines and the Zone 2 Pump Station at the city's Maplewood Springs facility, located between 1600 and 1708 15th Ave SW. The work also covers supply lines to the Zone 1 Pump Station, reservoir inlet and outlet pipelines, a reservoir drain pipeline, and relocation of overhead power and communications lines. Applicant Jessica Wilson submitted the filing. The public comment period closes May 8, 2026.
Both projects received Mitigated or Optional Determination of Non-Significance rulings, meaning city reviewers found no significant environmental impacts requiring a full environmental impact statement.
