Pierce Transit Changes 16 Routes Starting March 29

Pierce Transit will make schedule changes to 16 bus routes and extend its Stream Community Line into downtown Tacoma beginning Sunday, March 29, 2026. The changes are designed to improve on-time performance and make it easier for riders to connect between buses.

The schedule adjustments are intended to coordinate buses that share stops so they arrive at similar times. Pierce Transit also added trips to two routes to increase how often buses run on those lines. The Stream Community Line, which operates in partnership with MultiCare Health System, will now serve Commerce Street Station in Tacoma's downtown core, with four new stops added along the route.

Puyallup residents who use Pierce Transit β€” including those connecting through Tacoma Dome Station β€” may want to check updated schedules before riding on or after March 29. Pierce Transit has not specified which individual routes are affected beyond noting 16 routes total will see changes.
