Pierce County Seeks Senior Input for 2027-2030 Services Plan

Pierce County Human Services is collecting public input this spring to shape its 2027-2030 Area Plan, which will determine which aging and disability programs receive funding over the next four years. Seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers are invited to share their experiences through an online survey or by attending in-person community events.

The county is hosting a series of Aging Well Community Summits focused on the challenges of aging at home and ideas for making Pierce County more livable. Registration is encouraged and available online. Residents who need accommodations or a paper version of the survey can email [email protected] or call 253-878-0041. Accommodation requests for summits must be submitted at least two weeks before the event.

As the designated Area Agency on Aging, Pierce County's Aging and Disability Resources division is required by law to develop a four-year area plan with two-year updates. The plan must include community input, public hearings, and a survey before it is finalized.
