Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced overnight and nightly road closures affecting Puyallup commuters starting Monday, August 31.
I-405 will see up to two lanes closed southbound from milepost 12 to Coal Creek Parkway Southeast (milepost 10) nightly from 9 p.m. Thursday, September 3, to 5 a.m. Friday, September 4. Northbound I-405 will have up to two lanes closed from milepost 7 to 8. 5 nightly from 9 p.m. Monday, August 31, to 4:30 a.m. Friday, September 4. I-5 will have single-lane traffic from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly near exit 240 for fish passage construction until September 4.
Drivers should expect delays and use detours. WSDOT says the I-90 off-ramp to Factoria Boulevard will be closed nightly with a signed detour in place. Construction on SR 9 near Kalloch Road will continue until September 24 for fish passage work. The I-101 Hoh River Bridge closure for emergency repairs begins September 14 and continues through September 22.
