Garage Fire Contained in Graham Neighborhood

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews contained a residential garage fire in the Graham area on Friday, March 27, around 4:08 p.m. The fire broke out at a home in the 24100 block of 96th Ave E. Firefighters arrived to find a two-story home with smoke and flames visible from the garage.

Crews began fire suppression efforts immediately. The fire was under control by 4:46 p.m. β€” about 38 minutes after the initial call. Officials said the quick response kept the fire from spreading into the main part of the home.

A total of 16 units responded, including 8 fire suppression units, 3 EMS units, and 5 command and support units. No injuries were reported. The Pierce County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
