April 28 Special Election Ballots Mailing April 10

Pierce County will mail ballots for the April 28, 2026 Special Election beginning April 10, 2026. Voters across Pierce County, including Puyallup residents, should expect their ballots to arrive by April 14. The deadline to return completed ballots is April 28 at 8:00 p.m.

Before Election Day, Pierce County Elections will hold a public Logic and Accuracy Test on April 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the Pierce County Elections Center, 2501 S. 35th St. Suite C, Tacoma. The test verifies that the ballot tabulation system is working correctly. A separate audit of Accessible Voting Units will begin at 7:30 a.m. the same day. Representatives from the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, and the League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County have been invited to observe.

The pre-election audits are required by state law under RCW 29A. 12. 130 and WAC 434-335. Voters can find their voters' pamphlet and other election information at PierceCountyWA.gov/Elections. Ballots can be returned by mail or dropped at any of the county's more than 50 ballot drop boxes.
